FAQ

Questions

Who is Managed IT for?

Small businesses in the US and Canada that want an external IT partner instead of hiring their own IT person. Our plans range from small teams that mainly need Microsoft 365 and help when something comes up, to businesses with their own servers or more than one location. Managed IT is a separate service from our website plans, so you don't need a website from us to use it.

What's included?

Depending on your plan, we look after your IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365, remote management of your PCs and phones, Windows and Linux servers, firewall and network, backup and recovery, and VPN. On every plan you also get external IT help: a real person to ask when something stops working. Before anything starts, you get a written proposal that lists exactly what we cover for your business.

What isn't included?

Microsoft 365 licenses, hardware and software licenses are not part of any plan. We can resell Microsoft 365 licenses at list price on the same invoice. On-site work and larger projects, such as migrations or a new office setup, are quoted separately. For line-of-business software like Jobber or QuickBooks, we handle accounts and access. We always tell you before we start work that falls outside your plan.

How do I reach support?

Email [email protected] or use the support form on our contact page. Every request answered within 2 hours. Complex issues may take longer to resolve, and we'll keep you updated along the way.

You're in Norway. How does remote support work?

We're a registered company based in Egersund, Norway (org. no. 935 337 623), and we work in Central European Time (CET). All our support is remote, by email and remote session, so it doesn't matter where your office is. When we need to talk, we schedule calls at times that work in North American time zones.

Do you work on site?

No, we work remotely. When hands-on help is needed, we can line up a vetted local technician and manage the job for you.

Do I need Microsoft 365 Business Premium?

It's the easiest option, since it includes Intune for managing PCs and phones and Defender for Business for security. If you're on Business Basic or Standard, Intune can be added per user instead. We'll recommend the right fit for your team.

How much does it cost?

Contact us for pricing. Every business has a different setup, so we look at yours first and then send you a written proposal with the scope and the price before anything starts.

Can I change plans later?

Upgrade to a larger plan any time. Moving to a smaller plan during the commitment period carries an early-change fee.

Can I combine Managed IT with a website plan?

Yes. They're separate services with separate agreements, so you can choose one or both.

How do I get started?

Book a free intro call. We go through how your business uses IT today and what's causing trouble. Then you get a written proposal with the scope and the price. Nothing starts until you've said yes.

How do you handle our data and security?

Security is part of the everyday work. Depending on your plan, that includes accounts, passwords and MFA, updates on managed PCs, firewall settings and backups. We only work on the systems and accounts you've agreed to in your proposal, and we'll go through how we access them before we start.

Talk to us about your IT

Tell us how many people you have and what you use today. On a free intro call we'll go through it together, and then you get a written proposal before anything starts.
